FDM8 Engine Change

Hi!

Just wanted to let you know I've decided to move the development of FDM8 from its current engine (GML) to Unity.

After some research it seems this move would solve many of the issues I currently have: FDM8 has been overly dependant on 3rd party libraries since the start. This has made some features hard and/or slow to implement. GML is a fine "2D game engine" but for general purposes like in FDM8 where it has to handle external files, non-destructive edits, etc...Unity would be a better choice.

I expect this to take me a while. I cannot estimate how much time but I'm confident that by the end FDM8 will be an even more useful and fun tool for your art practice. I just ask for your kind patience while I undertake this endeavor.

Finally, If you already bought/decide to buy FDM8 you will receive the Unity port as soon as I've a minimum viable product. The latest GML version will stay up until then. I will also make updates on the Unity development in the meantime.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Best regards and thanks for your support!
